Revitalization
“Why Not Mechanicville?”
ABOUT
I am starting a new small business chapter in my life, and am passionate about heading back east, where I grew up and have family. As I am exploring different areas, I found myself thinking “Why Not Mechanicville”? My answer was that I needed to start my business in an area that has potential for prosperity. Typical measures of growth like revitalized downtown, strong community development, affordable housing, access to healthcare, quality schools that attract young families and a slice of the tourism pie that helps sustain small businesses. I looked at Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo, Hudson, Kingston, Newburgh, Ithaca, The Adirondack Region and Cooperstown and Vermont. All in various stages of development, but my heart kept asking, “Why Not Mechanicville?”
I have spent my career (30 years) helping revitalize heritage brands across a spectrum of consumers. I developed a process to help lead transformation efforts at the board level and across all functions within an organization. I bring cross-functional teams together early in the ideation and discovery process to build a shared understanding of insights to align on goals and measures for success. I create a culture of trust by connecting individual & team strategies back to the main project vision and goals. I know how to nurture idea generation, and empower team members at all levels,
I would love to offer my services to facilitate the committee’s work, so they can align and function at the highest level of teamwork toward the common goal of revitalization for Mechanicville.
